Booking
You agree to pay the non refundable booking fee in full at the time of booking to secure your session date and time. The booking fee covers the following;
- Time and talent of the photographer and exclusive access to hundreds of beautiufl and unique props.
- A pre-session consultation, either in person at the studio, via email or phone, to bring forth input to ensure a successful session.
- The reservation of your session date and time.
- Your session (duration will depend upon the nature of the session).
- Post session image preparations and a reveal and ordering session.
- The booking fee does not include products or digital images.
- Add $100 for a week end date (subject to availability).
- You are not obligated to purchase any images that you do not love. You will be presented with up to 20 portraits at your reveal and ordering session.
Usage of Images
- All works created by ShaBo STUDIO remain copy right to ShaBo STUDIO. I agree that ShaBo STUDIO and any direct affiliates (ie hair and make up artist) are permitted to use any images created during my commissioned or model call session for display, advertisements, exhibits, sale or trade or other use as deemed appropriate by ShaBo STUDIO. I agree that these images can be used without any additional compensation to me.
Portrait Studio Policies, Terms and Conditions
- This agreement must be signed and submitted before any session can begin.
- The booking fee pays for the time and talent of the photographer and for your reveal and ordering session. It does not include any finished portraits or products. The session fee is due at the time of booking and is non-refundable.
- The hair and make up fee separate and is non refundable.
- The participation fee (of any project in motion) is non refundable.
- In the case of a required reschedule due to illness, the booking fee will simply be held by ShaBo STUDIO until the rescheduled date. If you choose not to reschedule you forfeit the non refundable fee.
- If any person attending the session is sick or beginning to feel sick of any nature (temperature, cold like symptoms, or any other transmitable illness) on or before the day of the session please call to reschedule. If you try to keep the appointment, you will be asked to reschedule when you and or the other attendees are no longer sick. It is of the highest importance that I put the health and saftety of myself, my family and my clients first. I photograph a lot of newborns, clients with whom have sensitive immune systems and the elderly; I trust that you will do the wright thing.
- Newborn sessions: If you have or are having a boy, please DO NOT CIRCUMCISE your child before your session. I will be swaddling your baby tightly while he is naked and moving him from one position to another constantly during the session. This would be very painful for a child who has just been circumcised. I will NOT photograph a newborn who has been circumcised less than 6 days prior to the session.
- Please only bring the subjects to be photographed to the session. This is especially important with pets and children, as I will need their full attention rather than them looking at other members of the family and being distracted. Please ensure that only the person(s) to be photographed are in attendance.
- Personal cameras and other recording devices are not permitted in the studio during your session. Please refrain from taking any photos or video recording. I work very hard to ensure that your session is captured artistically and creatively. I ask that you respect my livelihood and refrain from taking photographs of what I am creating.
- You agree to hold harmless, Sharon Gerschwitz, her representatives, employees and ShaBo STUDIO, from any dispute in the event you or your family become injured during your session or while on the studio premises. ShaBo STUDIO and its representatives will not be held liable for any injury to you, your children or your family members, or for any damage to your property during the photo session or while on the studio premises.
- You will view your portraits at your reveal and ordering appointment. You will be asked to order at this time. Please make sure that all decision makers are present, as an additional ordering appointment will incure a $100 fee.
- Once your order is placed and payment has been received your prints and products will be ordered.
- Due to the custom nature of the work, payment for your order must be placed in full and is subject to a 50% cancellation fee should you change your mind about an order after it is placed. Once an order is sent to the lab or digital files are provided to the client the order is deemed non-refundable. Payment can be made by cash or EFT. Payment plans are available for minimum spend orders.
- You will be notified via email when your order is ready for collection from the studio. You will be required to arrange a mutually suitable time and date to collection your collection.
- All ordered images from your session are kept on file for a period of one year. Un-ordered images are removed from my archives after your ordering session. Please ensure that you create several forms of back up of your digital images and store them in a safe manner.
- I ask that you use the hand sanitiser provided upon arrival to the studio (I am a total germaphobe so there is plenty of sanitiser scattered around the studio! and you are more than welcome to utilise it as often as you feel the need 😉
